The Emergency/Critical Department at Healthway Hospital is a large State of the Art facility with 12 beds serving as Intensive Care Unit (ICU- Medical) for patients needing only clinical intervention and care and 2 isolation beds for patients undergoing treatment for highly infectious diseases, 4 beds serve as Critical Care Unit (CCU) in addition to which there are 4 beds allocated for ICU (Surgical) for patients who are recovering after a major surgery. The Casualty or ER section has 3 triage beds that are allocated on a priority basis depending on the medical emergency and 4 observation beds. The department functions 24 by 7, extending life saving care to patients from the State and surrounding regions.
