BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) AND ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS)

Healthway hospital is committed to frequently conducting certificate training programs for medical and para medical professionals to manage cardiac emergencies. These are namely the BLS and ACLS.

These are conducted by AHA, ‘American Heart Institute’ certified professionals. The course comprises of interactive discussions and hands-on training on mannequins. This is followed by an examination at the end of the session. Based on the performance, the successful candidates are conferred  BLS or ACLS Certification, which is recognised internationally.

The BLS course teaches both single-rescuer and teams, basic life support skills for application in both prehospital or external environments and in hospitals, where a lot of emphasis lies on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

The ACLS course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention in cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS)
