- 10 yrs rural surgeon with the Emmanuel Hospital Association (EHA) in various rural mission hospitals in Assam, UP, Bihar, and Uttarakhand.
- 5 years, he was based in Madhepura, rural Bihar, where in addition to running a 60 bed mission hospital, he spent around 10 days every month working with a project with
CARE India, traveling to almost all the district hospitals of Bihar, mentoring the government doctors and nurses and trying to improve the care of the newborn in district
hospital and PHC labour rooms, and in SNCUs across the state.
